1) Cellular Jail

Cellular Jail in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India, stands as a dark reminiscence of the British rule in the Indian subcontinent. This most dreaded and gruelling colonial prison situated in the remote archipelago was used by the British particularly to exile Indian political prisoners. Isolated from the mainland, this jail, also referred as Kala Pani (where Kala means death or time and Pani means water in Sanskrit) witnessed the most atrocious punishments imposed on prisoners. India’s struggle for independence saw imminent freedom fighters like Batukeshwar Dutt and Veer Savarkar being incarcerated in this jail. The jail is now open to public viewing as a National Memorial, and its museum gives one a glimpse of years of India’s struggle for freedom.

Radhanagar Beach is a popular tourist destination located on Havelock Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India. 3) Chidiya tapu(sunset point)-andaman

Chidia tapu is 30 KM from main city; this place is famous for sunset view and for bird watching. Varieties of birds visit this place. The road passes through forest and small hills up to the Chidia tapu. From Port Blair, the journey would take around one hour to reach Chidia tapu. If you are interested to watch the sunset it is advisable to take an afternoon trip to this place. Remains of trees uprooted during Tsunami in 2004 are still present near the beach. There is no restaurant or food stall available inside the park; however, small hotels are present at the entrance. While traveling to this place sea will be to your left side. On your way you would pass through the Kalapathar, a trail of black rocks and beach. Stop here to take some pictures and proceed to Chidia Tapu.

Elephant beach is located in Havelock Island and if you still haven't explored the beach yet then make sure you do so this holiday. Its rich coral reef structure and amazing underwater marine life will certainly spellbind you and want you to keep coming back for more.

5) Sitapur Beach

The tip of the island about 5km from the market lies Sitapur beach or beach No. 5. Also known as the ‘sunrise beach’ it is best situated to enjoy the lovely sunrise early every morning. At low tide one can walk to the second bay and explore small caves or just enjoy the peacefulness of Sitapur beach.

6) Corbyn Cove Beach

Corbyn's Cove beach is just 8 kilometers from the City center, and a prominent sightseeing place in Andaman. With pleasant blue sea water and lush green coconut palms, the beach allows visitors to relax alongside and enjoy several water sports available on the shore of the beach.
