Kidangam Parambu Temple is a great Goddess temple located in Alapuzzha . The presence of the mighty goddess Sree Bhuvaneeswari Devi makes the temple radiant and lustrous. They say ,thousands of devotees get relieved from their troubles and mess here. The temple has a majestic Rajagopuram or Vimanam which is not found anywhere in Kerala other than Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Trivandru. Here Devi lends her hand to all devotees irrespective of their cast gender and nationality. She is also well-known as bhaktadaasi which means the maid of devotees. The temple was built by Marthanda Verma on his way to attack Cochin ,when the land belonging to this temple was accidentally desecrated by his soldiers. The temple was underground and built to prominence again . Walls are depicted beautifully by Krishna charitram in the form of statues.
