Panchapalli is a small hamlet in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu, boasting of a natural reservoir, the Panchapalli Lake and a dam that benefits the farmers of Panchapalli, Periyanur, Podikuttapalli, Samanur, Athimutlu, Jerthalav and Erranaalli villages. It is a picturesque reservoir nestled in the thickly vegetated hills of Denkanikottai. This dam is around 70 kilometers away from Bangalore in the outskirts of Tamilnadu. Beautiful place with amazing scenic views nice place to visit specially riders would enjoy more given the kind of roads one has to cover while reaching this place. The dam is picturesque, especially in the winter months when it'll be covered with fog. This was one of the pitstops on the way to Bettamugilalum forest. Bring refreshments as you won't get anything nearby. Also, watch out for monkeys. One lesser known but very scenic place in Tamil Nadu not much far off from Bangalore, just about 75 KMs. This is a dam that supplies water to Dharmapuri district where it is located and surrounded by plenty of greenery and small hills making it very picturesque location.
